THE PTA CANDY BAR SALE IS HERE!🍫

The upcoming P.S. 54 World’s Finest candy bar fundraiser will begin on March 3, 2025 and will end on April 1, 2025.

Selling of the candy bars is not mandatory, but the funds raised will be used to enrich your child’s experience here at P.S. 54. To make this project a success, it will be important to have your full cooperation. Candy will be distributed in carry cases. Each carry case consists of 60 $1.00 candy bars, making each case worth $60. You will receive only one carry case at a time and you will be held accountable for the selling price of $60.00. However, we do encourage you to sell as many cases as you can, just let us know when you need another case! Sell to your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. PLEASE PROTECT YOUR CHILD. DO NOT ALLOW DOOR TO DOOR SELLING!

Money must be returned after the sale of each carry case and before you are eligible to receive another case. We will accept cash or check payable to: P.S. 54 PTA

Saturday Test Prep Academy
February to April

Saturday Test Prep Academy will be meeting on the following Saturday mornings:
February 1st, 8th
March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
April 5th

Saturday Academy is from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM

Students will enter through the main entrance on Willowbrook Rd. Doors open at 7:50 AM. Students must bring a pencil and no breakfast will be served

Students will be dismissed at 10:45 AM through exits 4 and 5 into the small schoolyard. Children must be picked up promptly by a parent. Please make sure that if you're sending someone else to pick up your child that this person is listed on the blue card

NYS Test Schedule
April & May 2025

Students in grades 3-8 take the English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics test. Students in 5th Grade take the Science test

These tests are used to measure how well the students perform on New York's Next Generation Learning Standards

ELA Test Schedule:
April 22nd & April 23rd: Grade 3
April 24th and April 25th: Grades 4 & 5

Math Test Schedule:
May 6th & May 7th: Grades 4 & 5
May 8th & May 9th: Grade 3

Science Test:
May 14th: Grade 5

Results will be posted on the NYC Schools Account

We rely on your voluntary membership contributions to fund all the events the PTA hosts. If you would like to contribute, please send in this form with an envelope labeled "PTA Office" or submit your donation online here. We appreciate any contribution you can give and no amount is too small!

**Suggested contribution is $5 per family

Please add your child(ren)'s name(s) and class code(s) when you submit your donation. The first class to get 100% participation will get a pizza party!
